Talents and class mechanics differ from Classic: follow the Forever version of an ability. Legacy progression is account-wide, and each character can spend up to 16 points; its Talented perk unlocks talent points up to five levels early. Guides written before launch put dual specialization at level 40.
Set your current level on your specialization page. Class advice above level 30 goes beyond the level-30 guides it draws on, and a high weighted score is not a simulated damage gain.
Assumptions and evidence
Written from the Blizzard and Wowhead sources listed here, each with the date it was last read, and compared with the launch game files on November 4, 2026. Hotfixes can change tuning and availability. This is a sourced explanation, not a MaxDPS in-game test, complete catalog review or proof of optimal stat weights. Class traits are editorial estimates and vary by role.
