Prepare the Horde Dalaran key chain
The Horde attunement reported before launch runs through Prison Break In and Key to the City, with Stone Tokens and Dalaran Patrols, Bracers of Binding, Blood in the Streets, and Heart of Disruption. Accepting that last quest grants the Dalaran Sewer Key; you do not need to finish its dungeon objective before entering.

Legacy and camping while leveling
Legacy is shared progression with separate choices for each character. A character can spend 16 points, and the system is designed so one character can unlock its advantages. Its Talented perk unlocks talent points up to five levels early, if you choose it.

Library rewards while leveling
Collecting books for your faction’s librarian unlocks reward quests. In the launch game files the 10-book Erudite’s Amulet and Scholarly Pendant are Uncommon, item level 23. Reports from before launch put the 20-book ring at item level 35 with no class restriction, and add a level-30, 25-book reward.

Read the effects before replacing gear
Crafted gear and profession utility can be useful while leveling. Effects such as faster smelting or cooking do not measure combat damage. Keep a utility piece when its effect serves a task, even if its combat score is low.

How PvP gear progression works
Honor buys equipment; Rank Points advance your PvP rank. They are different parts of progression. The epic set upgrades the matching blue piece using an Emboldened Seal with a rank requirement. Shaman sets cover healing, melee and casting.

What changed since you last played
WoW Forever went live on November 4, 2026, with a level cap of 60. Its raids open on December 9, and hotfixes can still change gear and tuning.

Prepare a useful first session with friends
Agree on a zone and a group role, train the abilities you can afford, and bring food, water or ammunition as appropriate. Check dungeon quests before travelling; faction starts and prerequisites differ.
