WoW Forever raid loot: a first look

The raids that open on December 9, and what we can score of their loot for every spec at level 60.

Only Onyxia's Lair has gear of its own we can score so far: one reward you choose after a quest chain that starts with Head of Onyxia. Dragonslayer's Signet scores highest for healers and spellcasters. Onyxia Tooth Pendant scores highest for tanks, melee damage and ranged damage. Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit are not in the game files or our data yet. All three open on December 9, and loot may change before then.

Onyxia's Lair: the reward to pick

Carry the Drakefire Amulet to get in. Blizzard says every raider needs it in their inventory, and it does not have to be equipped. Blizzard’s overview lists each faction’s questline for it.

Scored for your build

Each build’s rewards at level 60, highest score first, and the place that score takes in the slot’s ranking. Points are our weighted score, not DPS. They count stats only, so fire resistance and use effects add nothing. Points across different slots are only a rough comparison: for 8 builds, the lower-scoring item places in its slot’s top ten and the higher-scoring one does not, so it may be the bigger upgrade.

Blizzard unlocks Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair on December 9 for level 60 players, and plans for all of them to reset each week.
